ITFI was incorporated in 2026 with the sole purpose of bringing the healthful benefits of nature to others, and particularly to populations with higher actual and systemic barriers that limit their access, including low-income individuals and urban dwellers. Other populations of interest include providers in the health and medical fields, educators, athletes and those experiencing moderate to high levels of stress and anxiety.Background

Throughout out my life, my greatest joys have been being active in nature and serving others. As an avid trail runner, much of my relationship with nature has been in the form of competitive racing, backpacking and mountain biking. In my relative new relationship with forest therapy, the deliberate intention to experience these liminal lands slowly and through our senses has had a profoundly therapeutic impact beyond that which is felt when engaged in active sport.
